Ivory for inlays

After seeing Nils' beautiful pen with the recycled ivory laminations, I decided I wanted some old ivory. I found a source and for others who want some it's not that hard to find. I got mine from a piano tuner. Most piano tuners also rebuild various parts of pianos and the one I contacted has quite a pile of small pieces of ivory that he can't use for repairs. SO, contact some piano tuners and see what they have.

I never thought about that, Gerry. My brother in law is a piano tuner so I should talk to him. The only problem is that he's a woodturner, too. [:I]
