Makes me forget that I still need her so

But I prefer

I woke up this morning with the sundown shining in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within

I woke up this morning with the sundown shining in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawling out as I was a-crawling in
I got up so tight I couldn't unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in

Someone painted April Fool in big black letters on a Dead End sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles outta Memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Yeah
yeah
oh-yeah

I remember UB40 being interviewed on TV when they brought out their version of Red Red Wine and the interviewer asked them why they did a cover of Neil Diamond's song and half of them had no idea who he was....
The other half thought they wrote it...

Did you know that their name is from a form you have to fill in to claim the dole? Unemployment Benefit 40...

I didn't even know Neil Diamond did this song. 'Cause when I hear him, it gets shut off in less than a second. Thanks for the trivia Steven. I always wondered what significance UB40 had in the name of the group. I always enjoyed their music.

Chuck I can hear your a little off tune all the way in Fort Myers...
I'm not singing Rich....just typing
