I was going to complain about the heat.Then I realized;

it isn't 109 degrees;

I'm not 5,700 miles from home;

I'm not dressed in full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.;

there is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today!

Very nicely put, most have the poor me syndrome when things get uncomfortable. Not thinking of what our armed forces go through every day.

The hottest I ever saw in Iraq was 130...just missed it here.

The other pic, you can see the outline of my body armor in sweat. That was a C-141 in Taqquadam that we sat on for like 6 hours waiting to fly. All female crew, and they were hot...in many ways. (but there is also an Iraq/deployed factor to "hot" so maybe by the time I was seeing them..."hot" was relative!?).

It is however, freaking hot here in VA. Just did a lap around the block with the wife and dog. Its hot.
