It's been 5 years since I turned a pen. I hope I remember how. Sharp end of the stick points to the round thing right?

FWIW I filled the tube with wax to keep the glue out. Never tried that before.

Welcome back! Have not heard of the wax filling the tube. Some use clay or beeswax. I use a potato.

Show us the finished product, so far so good. I use a sheet of dental wax that is about 1/16th thick, push the tube into sheet cutting a plug of wax in tube. Plug cleans out very easily after casting or gluing.
