Folks...my wife was smacked in my truck just a few hours ago...took out the entire left side. She is mad and upset, but safe and unhurt. Per the insurance company, my truck is totaled...but family is safe. We are grabbing a rental car and my attorney. So thankful that 1) no one was hurt 2) have great insurance. Prayers and good thoughts needed!

Jim, this is a start of a long adventure. I am soooo very happy that you wife is okay. Dealing the with rest is now the challenge.

Good health.

Glad to hear that she is ok Jim.We will send prayer her way.But also be careful on how she is really feeling in the next few days.My wife was in an accident some years ago and she thought everything was fine and signed the release forms.About 2 months later she started haveing back problems and still has them today. The doctors say it was caused by the wreck but too late to do anything about it.

Glad everyone is okay, Jim! We'll keep y'all in our prayers and thoughts! I'll double what Jim (Corian King) said. My daughter and I were rearended some years back. I was ok, but had some whiplash. She said she was ok and not hurt (young, athletic and had just graduated high school). Six months later, she was having severe back pain in college. Six moths after that, she had to have back surgery on my nickel since she didn't see a doctor after the accident. Moral of the story: Always make sure everyone in an accident gets checked out whether they experience pain, or not. That way if something shows up within two years the insurance company still has to pay (accoriding to my lawyer, anyway).

Thanks guys...cleaned out the truck today. Hard to see it like that, but better to see my wife in jeans and a tank-top:wink:
Really good settlement and new truck on the way...same wife....Life is good:biggrin:

Glad she didn't get hurt badly. Make sure that she didn't get a concussion. Got rear ended. Didn't know it for a few days, but suffered a concussion. Took almost a year for it to heal, learn to not stutter and recover memory. I would have her checked by an MD if your truck was totaled. Better safe then sorry.

Glad everything worked out.

My goodness. When my wife was in an accident we never got it settled. Other driver was uninsured, our insurance, once it was clear that the other guy was a deadbeat ignored us completely so our car NEVER got fixed. Then two weeks after the accident the other driver is driving a brand spanking new car. The only good part of the accident is my wife and youngest were not hurt.

Needless to say we are looking for a new insurance company.
