Went to the doc on 19 December and found out I had influenza B (the respiratiry flu). Then the Mountain Cedar (actually a Juniper) started blooming (and I'm allergic) and I kept coughing into mid-March. Went to the doc again at the end of February for some nerve issues related to my arthritus and he put me in the hospital for a heart issue. I've never had a heart issue so I was quite taken aback. It seems my EKG was a bit wonky. So they brought in a cardiologist. He told me that he could have me do a stress test, but it may or may not tell him what he needed to know. So he did a heart cath. That way he said he could fix anything he might find. He found a slight blockage in one artery in my heart, cleaned it out and put in a Stint.

But all is well and I'm good to go now. I've been exercising and trying to eat right so we won't have any repeat issues. The good news is that I have not had a heart attack and they caught the blockage early. The better news is that I'm back in the shop now that my respiratory issues are gone.

I'm not looking for sympathy, just letting my friends here know why I suddenly seemed to go away again.

I understand completely --- I got it on Dec 26th. Already had known heart issues so I didn't have the catherization but they did about everything else....took me until mid-February before I felt completely right again.

Glad to hear you are back and doing well. They did check your lungs, yes.

Yep, and I'm right as rain. Had my annual physical last week and all is good. Even my LDL has dropped 20 points since the cath. Started exercising and trying to eat even better than I already was. Now if I could just drop about 30 lbs I'd be happy.

You can but don't worry about losing 30 pounds lose 5 and after that's gone, if you feel like it lose 5 again....pretty soon that 30 is gone. Take that from a guy who went from 256 to 160 over the past 2 1/2 years. I did it so I was never more than 5 pounds from my goal and when I reached one goal I set another.

Hi Billy,
I was wondering what had happened or where you suddenly went to.
So glad to see you back again and roaring to go.
Look forward to your postings once more.

Cheers Bob.
