It WAS once, Me.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered:

"Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die & then dies having never really lived."

Definitely. I need to take a step back after reading that and stop worrying so much about stuff that is out of my control. My health has suffered a lot from stress.

My Dad worried about having something to worry about. I felt so sorry for him that I probably do not worry enough.
Many are laid back with the use of a natural herb. I have been accused of using that herb due to my ability to let things I can not change just slide right on by, but I have never taken a hit off it. I thank my Dad for having taught that with negative reinforcement.
Ed, you are just too deep. You are doing good.

Great quote and perspective Ed.

Now if I can just finish the Zen Buddhist Monk online course I could live in harmony and achieve Nirvana.

As the ole' saying goes "slow is beautiful"

I suddenly have an overwhelming urge to finish a Zen pen while listening to Nirvana...

Great quote! It reminded me how I used to worry and be anxious about temptation all of the time. Then one day Winston Churchill told me,
"Don't worry about avoiding temptation... As you grow older, it will avoid you."

I don't remember where I heard this, but 95% of the things we worry about, never happen. So I have tried not to worry about stuff. It is what it is, it ain't what it ain't, so don't make it what it isn't.

Nah

That's not me, when I was young I decided to let God worry about the money and I would trust Him to provide. Worked for me and I've never lost a minutes sleep worrying or wondering about money.

Now the giving up treasure to try to recouperate health - yea, I do some of that but if it gets too involved I'll just stop and let God take care of that too.
