Is this a collet chuck?

Have been reading many threads lately that refer to using a collet chuck. I got thinking about the tray full of extra "junk" I got when I purchased my "old" lathe a few years ago. Is this a collet chuck or something else ...

and if so how do I make sure it is a #2 morse taper (it seems to fit)

I think it says C3C-100NR
and maybe South Bend

No collets with it unfortunately :frown:

Looks like a collet chuck minus the collets. I don't know anything else to you about it though.

I'd say it is a collet chuck, but it is not as deep as the Beall unit. IF you try to get collets, make certain they will fit before you buy.

Seems like a metal lathe collet chuck. Like the one below??

The Beall chuck is a threaded one while the above chuck is a tapered one.
