i remember there was a discussion about changing nibs of fountain pens (just pulling the nib?) in a thread somewhere. can anyone help me out? is it possible to just change the nib and keep the same feeding mechanism? thank you

I just went through testing swapping nibs on a few of my kits. Some kits have removable nib/feed housings that screw out, and some the nib/feed mount directly in the section. Either way you can swap out nibs by pulling the nib & feed out, then put feed back with the new nib. Sometimes they're a bit tight and need a firm but gentle pull until they come out.

I got a variety of nibs from meisternibs. They come in a housing with feed, but the housing wasn't compatible with the housings in my kits, but the nib/feed came out fine and went into the kits. I also bought a five-pack of nibs on Amazon.
