INLACE FOR INLAY

I have been looking to see if there are any threads on using inlace for inlay in pens or bowls or whatever. I am not real familiar with inlace but I do a lot of inlays in wood (mostly on pens and bottle stoppers) with crushed turquoise and I thought I would try inlace.

Any old thread or any general ideas on this topic?
