I have found myself with several bottles of ink jet ink. Can I use this for coloring my PR? Has anyone else tried it? What can I expect?

you can try, the worst that can happen is you get a mold full of goo.
I believe they are water based inks, so I would not recommend using them with Alumilite

I tried using a bottle of black/red Noodlers fountain pen ink (water based) and the PR took two days to harden, and I am afraid to turn it b/c it's hard but brittle, and the luster pigments seemed to have all settled to the bottom.
Give it a shot but I'd only spend it on one blank at the moment to see what happens.
As a side note, it makes a GREAT colorant for ebonizing wood (if it's black ink). Oak with black dye looks great after a coat or two of satin polyurethane.

I've mixed it with alcohol and then dropped pre drilled blanks in it. Left them for a few days and they made great pens. Some woods will not soak up the colour but others do. Experiment. An example using box elder.
