While in one of those X-Ray tubes, the power went out :ghost: in Loma Linda and surrounding areas. Because I was half way into the tube and the power was out, the electric sled did not work and I was stuck. To make things worst when the power came back on the machine DID NOT. I was extracted and we were on our way home when the hospital called and they had the machine working. I had to return because there is only a 48 hour time window for the radio active material to be alive and the photos taken. They spotted bone infection at the end of the rod in the ankle. Now it is up to my doctor as to what to do.
Watch think?

OUCH John! I would want a retest, but there is always the issue of exposure concern. Either way a correct diagnosis and the proper follow up is the best course of action. Trust your faith....

You waited for the power to come back on? I am so claustrophobic that if the power went out while I was going into the tube I would have extracted my own big butt immediately. Just the thought makes my blood pressure go up.

A second opinion is always a good thing unless you really trust the docs or things are getting to emergency level. I've been lucky. I found a group of docs whom I do trust.

Crazy doctor. At first they tried to tell me the first available appointment was in January. Then I reminded them it was his test that he wanted to see and if I waited that long my ankle may fall off. They moved it up to November 29th, day after my birthday.

The way hospitals are these days they will probably bill you for the extraction!!
Good luck with the ankle....stay aggressive to find the best path to being cured.

Good luck John.

I have been in those "sausage tubes" and cant imagen power turning of while I was in there. Id probably tear it apart like the HULK. So Id like to think......
