Although I've posted this in our local chapter forum, I thought some others who might not see the posting there would be interested in browsing through the photos I took of our Turning Pens for Troops event, hosted by our local Rockler store on the Northeast side of Indy, and staffed by our Indy Chapter of the I.A.P.

You can check out a few or the whole set of 90+ photos in my Flickr photostream at this address:
Penturners - I.A.P. Indianapolis August 2012 Turning Pens for Troops - a set on Flickr

It's my first time contributing to this cause and I'm blessed to have gotten to partake in it as well as being part of such a great group of people here in the I.A.P.

Dave, photos are great. Thanks for spending the day plus the time to post these. We have a great group of guys and gals! Some travelled quite a distance to be there to help. Special thanks to Bill Bettag for pretty much putting this whole thing together! Also to Rockler and the the company, I can't remember the name, who let us use the vacant space next to the store to turn. That made it very nice. Overall I think there were about 80 pens made and a few more may come in. A great day. God bless our troops!

It was a fun day photographing the even, talking with everyone and seeing several people introduced to pen turning. Glad I was there for it!
