The wife has been on my case to clean up the shop before Easter, due to all the family coming over and such. Filled up the shop vac 7 times I'm proudly embarrassed to say. Seized an opportunity. Tried to make a good argument for a dust collection system, but failed. Something bout new carpet, curtains, living room suit, actually I stopped listening after carpet, but it didn't keep her from yapping. Bought her a white chocolate Easter bunny hoping to smooth her over. But as it hit me back in the chest, I was reminded that after 25 years of marriage I should have known she don't like white chocolate. 0 for 2 at this point, then she finds her new Pyrex measuring cup in the shop. Perfect for measuring PR. So tomorrow I'm Buying a new measuring cup. God help me if she starts looking for her toaster oven.

Funny. Been there done that. A glass Pyrex measuring cup made a great paint mixing cup back in my days of doing spray painting. Heck, I cleaned it GOOD with lacquer thinner, but she wouldn't take it back!

Mine is not sure where her stuff is, she sure she stored it somewhere. The shop is not the place to look for it though or its in the doghouse for me also.

guess its a good thing we all have not been hauled off to the pund.

hey Kent do like I did this year I rented the covered picnic area at the city park and we will have all the kids and grand kids over there so we don't spend all week cooking and cleaning.......... instructed all familie's invited to bring coverd dishes enough to feed their family..... saved lot of headaches.. after all my favorite Christmas lights are the car tail lights leaving my driveway when all is said and done...........

Mike I thought I was using some sense. Since she had a new measuring cup, Didn't make sense for me to go buy another one.

David I wish I could rent a park pavilion, but because I have a large peice of property, every one insist on coming to the house. I really don't mind, everybody tends to stay outside if its nice out.

So, Kent? Does all this mean YOU CAN or CAN NOT GO TURKEY HUNTING, SUNDAY MORNING? I hate all of these mixed signals:)

Victor,
I was labeled as insensitive when I bought her a new air compressor for Valentines Day.....and to defend me, it was red!!! I got a new dress for my birthday.....it didn't even fit me...don't ask me how I know!!!!

I know 7 years is not long to have been married, but I have learned a few things that will hopefully keep me alive for many more. Repeat after me "I'm sorry,.........I'm stupid. I'm sorry, I'm stupid" Now for this to work you have to have the pause and sound sincere. Also, "you are right, I am wrong" trust me on this one even if she just told you monkeys flew out of your butt or the sky is pink polka dot, she is right and you are wrong. If you always assume she is right and you are stupid things will work better. It is a scientific fact wives are smarter than husbands... If you don't believe me ask your wife, she will confirm it for you when she takes your shop time to make you stand in the corner for asking such a dumb question.

Later,

Robert
