So I have started pen making and just sent a order to Pen State, was going to do online order buttt they came up as unsecured sight so I phoned it in. I am kinda on a you tube over load. lol So I ordered 3 wheel buffing system. I want to do the CA finish. What I am wondering is there a CA brand that I should stay away from or what might be your favorite or most used CA. Thank you for your time.

I have used 4 different CA manufacturers and found no difference between them.

I used to use the thin, medium and thick but now have gravitated to thin for the finish and only use thick to attach the tube.

The regular CA makes me feel like I am getting a cold so now I only use the odorless variety.

There are a variety of methods to apply it so pick one and master it before you try another. Remember that all the methods produce greats pens and we all think our method is best :) . Enjoy your turning.

I prefer EZ bond, but it sets pretty quick. Starting out with insta bond pen finish may be a good idea as its very forgiving and gives more working time...after you get the hang of it I would suggest moving to EZ bond.....just my 2cents.
