My son (OldReg) ran the Chevron Houston Half Marathon (13.2 miles) on Sunday, January 15th placing in 312th place out of nearly 10,000 runners finishing in 1 hr 28 min. I'm really proud of him! Doc:smile:

Congratulations, David! And Doc, you have every right to be proud of such a wonderful accomplishment that obviously required months, if not years, of preperation.

I couldn't run 13 miles in 13 hours, must less under 1 1/2 hours.

In fact, IF YOU EVER SEE ME RUNNING, please shoot the person chasing me as he is heavily armed and dangerous!

Again, congratulations to both of you!

That's awesome Doc! You have reason to be proud, the most I've ever done was 10 miles and that kicked my butt. Did you run it with him?

Congrats Doc! David is a outstanding young man and you you have everything to be proud of!!! I wonder how much food he ate preparing for THIS one:wink::biggrin:

Tim, Thanks !! LOL..Didn't run the Half Marathon with him but did run the 5K that was held along with the rest of the races. Doc:smile:

Thanks, Justin !! LOL..Believe it or not, he ate even more than when we went out to dinner together before the San Antonio race. Watching how much he can eat before a race still floors me. I love watching our waiter's face when he orders. Thanks again! Doc:smile:

Congratulations to both... that's quite a feat.... I've never run a marathon, but I did run once... I was riding with my BIL on his delivery truck and we stopped to watch a fire at a gas station... when the underground tank exploded, BIL was yelling "Run, Run"... but I didn't hear him, I was a block away and picking up speed.
