Only one time zone away from home and really looking forward to getting there. I should be home by 8PM with a bunch of goodies from Gary Peck in tow.

SE Asia was fun, but it really isn't my part of the world. (too damn hot)

You sure are right about SEA being hot and humid. Not a lot different from Houston, Texas 9 months out of the year though, so I'm acclimated to it when I go over there for work.

What were you doing over there?

When I go I'm always in Hong Kong, Singapore, or South Korea.

Just like home

I don't think it can get more humid than Houston and not be actually raining.

He is Virginian what can I say. he won't survive more than few days in S. TX in the August.
Mike glad your safe, I wouldn't even dare to leave US yet alone to S. Asia.

Russianwolf? His profile says WEST Virginia....trust me it ain't the same.

No Kidding, Smitty! Isn't WV in a diffefrent part of the country from Virginia?:smile: Not to say that far West Kentucky is much better.

Well, for us Texans you all are from up north and if he is not accepted to your viginian clique then he is welcomed here to IAP. Now let the man get home safe and feel at home. Then we won't say if he ain't Virginian or West viginian or (well, heck he is American). That's the most important one. And he pays his Taxes too.:biggrin:

Thanks all.

And yes, I currently live in West "By God" Virginia as they call it around here. But I was born and raised in South Carolina and lived in San Angelo Texas and Corpus Christi Texas for a year. I'm very familiar with humidity at its extremes, but I love cold weather (It even snowed on me in San Angelo) but when the Winter temp averages 85F (even worse than the intolerable 50s of Monterey California where I lived for a year also) and humidity is in the 80s+ also it just don't feel very fall/winter like. Don't get me started on what they say Summer temps are in that region.........

I was in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manila on business, but did get to see my in-laws in Manila and Stephen and Gary in Singapore. Good times all around.

And Dawn, which suit case? one was filled with food for Lillian and I bet she'd fight you for it.

Mike, are going to share the goodies?

Hmmm. I think I have some to share. Gary sent me home with a bunch of Jichimu, Huali, Thiefwood, and some of his infamous fountain pen kits that don't come with tubes. He even got the idea, watching some of us go crazy for Jack Daniels blanks, to soak some of his Jichimu in Jack. I explained what the draw was on the JD blanks, but he wanted to have the aroma for himself.
