Hello old friends and new,
It has been a long and stressful 2 1/2 yrs but I am back in Canada where I started from. As some of you know, one of my sisters died in the UK, followed 6 months later by one of my brothers. A short trip ended up with me spending 2 years there and I am slowly getting my own life back.

I don't have any lathes any more but the passion is still very much there. I will drop in from time to time, and more frequently when I get myself set up again.

Some wonderful turning going on! Great inspiration for me.

cheers,

Ruth Harding

Welcome back Ruth! I'm afraid you will find that, some of your friends have been scarce around these parts. Looking forward to your postings.

Welcome back home Ruth. When you get a lathe back and ready to turn, drop me a PM, i have bloads of blanks and slims kits that i can send your way. This could get you going sooner. Just let me know.

Thanks for all the kind messages! It's funny how we make our own chosen families isn't it. Alfred, thanks for the offer, however, though I had to sell all my lathes I still have pen kits and blanks..they are just in the UK right now....I thought I was going to stay so shipped everything I was keeping over there. Now I just need to get it all back.

What I am anxious to do when I find another lathe is to start doing the ebonite pens. I assume that the tap & die kits that we were getting from...Russia? a couple of years ago are still obtainable under group buys.

I have a lot of catching up to do looking at all the great pens, and, catching up on the ideas and conversations.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It s much appreciated. See you all in the forums.
