Where did you watch them? Light your own? Sporting event? Somewhere else?

I miss watching the Disneyland fireworks (I grew up in OC,) but we saw a darn good show last night at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The finale was so dense the sky was white, and the popping of the rockets sounded like machine guns!

There was a good show in Houston! It was televised. Of course, all non professional fireworks were banned because of the drought here.

They cancelled the display here! With the forests dry as a bone, a total ban on personal fireworks and a monster forest wildfire nearby whose containment still isn't 100% lots of folks are weary of anything that can start a fire so it was very quiet here last night.......... and it really wasn't such a bad thing afterall! I'm actually happy that I finally live in a place where folks have some common sense rather than amongst a bunch of drunken idiots who somehow think it's patriotic to pull off the side of a road out on some lonely country lane to pop some firecrackers, drink a few beers and shoot off some bottle rockets.

Well my neighbor owns a company that make fireworks. Needless to say it's always awesome. I had some friends come over and we had many beers while watching. The show lasted about an hour and a half. Not quite Thunder over Louisville, but it was really good. He had quite a few 3 and 4 inch mortars along with some other crazy stuff.

It was another walk to the park to "hear" fireworks .... somewhere up in the fog! It's too bad they didn't postpone it till next weekend's festivities. :frown:

I was driving up 95 from Providence RI to Maine. Every few miles I could see another town sending up a display. Guess I can say I watched about 100 miles of fireworks last night.

All the fireworks here were rained out. It was nice weather up until 5pm. Then the showers came till about 9pm. They told everyone at park to take shelter (from the rain) but the show never went on.
