Edgar is snoozing...

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN - TIME FOR THE IAP WINTER HOLIDAY TRAILMIX: http://www.penturners.org/forum/f18/edgars-trail-mix-recipe-128532/

With the Ohio Chapter Potluck this Saturday (poke, poke). It was time to torment my wife and bake the IAP Trailmix.

This is the final of three batches, (as with bourbon - non Single Batch), all three will be mixed to give the most complimentary flavor.

I have 15 containers for "Door Prizes"; meaning if you "get in the door" you get a prize!!! Oh, I will save a special container for a "Single Batch IAP Trailmix."

Thank you Edgar for a very wonderful tradition.

Thanks for starting this thread, Mark. I am running a little behind this year, but I finally got started on my Trail Mixes last week.

Here's the first batch out of our oven. I've done two batches like this so far and I have at least 4 more to go this week.

I'm glad that it's become so popular here & I really enjoy seeing the variations that others come up with.

Edgar, your gift of this recipe has provided IAP members the opportunity to share with friends all over the country.

Saturday, this week, is designated as "Edgar's trail mix day" at the Sampson house. Our neighbors expect it at Christmas time. It is, without a doubt, the best $100.00 plus expenditure of the year. We don't have grandchildren, so we invited a friends daughter to be our grandchild for the day so she can enjoy this experience.

Thanks for sharing.

I've never tried it. But it looks like it would be great....

I buy most of the ingredients at a low-cost grocery (i.e., ALDI's). Edgar's basic recipe is wonderful; but you can modify any aspect.

The biggest challenge is buying the ingredients - making it is very straight-forward.

My modification is to use more of the sauce.

Have fun!
