I think the reason I like PR so much...

Is I hate finishing. Seriously. I just finished my PITH pen (FINALLY!). Pine knots with the nasty resin in them (some of that wood is reclaimed from 25 year old furniture) plus CA makes for an... Um... "interesting" experience.

I don't think there's enough acetone in the world to clean those @$%^&%$^%&^$@% things up. But it's done. And it is KNOT happening again.

My favorite thing about PR is I dont have to use CA:biggrin:!!! And it finishes so much easier

I agree. I love wood, but synthetics are just so much easier. They turn smoother, finish faster, and don't require CA.

But the biggest problem with synthetics is that they are not wood.

I like wood. The people I give/sell pens to like wood. When I bring in an acrylic or PR pen, people are polite, but a nice wood pen gets all kinds of compliments and/or bids.

The coffee bean pen excluded. It was snapped up from my desk in under an hour with an order for another one.

I dunno... My PRs get more attention than my wood (pens! Get your mind out of the gutter!!!) But everybody's experience is different.

I've found in my area that most people who buy my pens love colors. They don't car if it's HHL or some crazy HRB. It's just plain wood to them. But when you cast a blank with their favorite colors they snatch it up like crazy.
