I love Yew

I picked up some yew pen blanks at last months wood turning meeting and I am glad I did.
This section had a large crack (design oppertunity) so I filled it with blue pigment and epoxy then did my normal CA finish. My clear powder coat powder came in the mail so I had to try it on a 30-06 shell This is just a quick phot I took in the shop

The wooden ones are ca finish. The acrylics are just micromeshed

Yew know that yew was a favorite wood for the English longbow. How appropriate for yew to paired with a modern weapon.
