My wife, two daughters and I moved to Melbourne, FL about three weeks ago. I am answering the call as senior pastor of First Baptist Indialantic. The initials are "FBI." How cool is that! I think we have about 12 boxes left. But I unboxed the most important stuff last week, the shop. Made my first pen in two months last wednesday, a chrome Sierra with UGA colored acrylic blank. Delivered it to the customer, a member of my last church, yesterday, while we went back to St. Marys, GA to finish up some work on our house up there. Hope it rents soon.

Anyway, now I can get to work on my PITH pen!

I know the feeling. My last move was 13 years ago and it was #19. This is the longest I have ever lived in one place my entire life:biggrin:

I added it up the other night. Since Sept 1988 I have moved 13 times... Man I hate moving. I hope that we are able to stay in Melbourne for a very long time. But even so, we are in a rental house. So I know there is at least one more move in our future.

I'm not going to count the number of times I've moved... seems like every time the house got dirty, we just moved... at any rate, I'm planning on the next time I move it will be feet first in a pine box...

Back in the mid '70's I almost moved to Melbourne, FL... my company was opening an office there and offered me the manager ship of the office... went so far as to request info from Realtors about the city, property and such... liked what I saw, but in the end, the company decided not to open the office and I left for greener pastures.

Ed: I live in Sebastian just 20 miles south of you. We should get togather sometime. I am retired, so have a lot of free time. Come to my shop and we can turn something. Dudley

I've lived here about 12 yrs now and no intentions of moving. Moving sucks, especially when you have hobbies like this where you have to move all your wood and tools and probably have to build a new work shop, heck with that! I think I'd need 2 semi trucks to move all my stuff, at least one for the house and one for the shop, and likely would need to rent a fork lift..no thanks!
