attention. Mike (mikespenturningz) has mentioned walnut oil and Doctor's Wood Shop a number of times. and I just past it off.

Well I got some finishing supplies (all walnut oil based) from doctorswoodshop.com and was very happy with the results I have been getting.

Thank you Mike

I think I have been using it for about 1 1/2 years and it gives a great finish if you just work at it. I am well into my second bottle now and I love the stuff. I cannot say it is the best but it works great. I don't feel any need what so ever to look for something better. Like Carl said it won't give you the same finish as CA but it will give you a comparable finish but in a different way. I was not bad at all at applying a CA finish but the fumes got the best of me. I use only Non-Fuming CA now and it is very expensive. I use it only for my segmenting and it works great. Even if the price came down I don't think I would switch back to CA as a finish.

The more I've sold over the past year, the more I'm moving away from CA on anything except segmented or special cases. I've found the natural finish pens for me out sell the CA finish.

I'm actually going to place another order with Doctor's soon and am thinking of trying their pen specific finish to see if the change in wax type is of any benefit. I've been using the DOC-104 which is the walnut oil/carnauba/shellac mix.
