My son, TJ, has been turning for about 1 year now. He hasn't done any shows yet. A couple months ago, he did a demonstation at his high school for a class on pen turning. He brought his case of pens he had made and walked out with about $350 in pen sales from teachers.

I work for the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower here. Yesterday, my manager needed an gift for a couple of people that run our aviation career camp for high school kids. I brought in TJ's case of pens for her to choose a couple pens that I'd sell at cost. I've sold 4 pens in the first two hours to my other managers and numerous looking very hard at buying some. We have the President visiting the Twin Cities today and I've even had the Secret Service Team glancing at the pens.

I think a couple acrylic display box with a lock is in order and just sell them from work. My wife works for a law firm and has gotten a couple sales for clients that come in and sign documents. She always brings out TJ's turned pens for the clients to use.

Roy, if I didn't have a large stack of acrylic sheets and Weld-On 4 and Weld-on 16 from my days of building aquariums and small acrylic displays. I think I would check into that. :D
