Definitely cool! The PVC was a great idea. Gotta be a lot easier and faster to start with a round blank.

Awesome box. I really like the emerald green with the box elder burl (I first thought it was buckeye burl until I read your post).

Ken that's truly inspirational both casting and turning work.

Nope threads are not hand chased. I use a threading jig from ChefwareKits.
