The storm brought the humid air up to north Texas and my finishes went south, since thursday I can't get a good C.A. finish for some reason, could the humidty be playing a role? I usually do a pretty good job with the C.A. as a finish T.I.A.

Humidity can definitely cause problems with CA finishing. Take the project into an air conditioned area and wait a day and then try your CA finishing whicle still in the 'drier" air of AC.

The humidity definately plays a part. I had one of my 5K BTU ACs go out in my 25'X25' shop, I could definatly tell a difference in the humidity level in the shop with the outside temps being 98+ outside. I quit trying to finish the pens for a few days until the temp drops.

yep, I was pretty chapped to go out to my garage and find rust patches on some of my gouges...

Russ, and everyone else.first I thought it was the humidity, then I thought it was the C.A.then I thought it was the M.M.so I went to rockler today and got a can of spray accelerator and tried it after letting the c.a. set for a few secs.I might be wrong but that seems to have fixed my problem, for now anyway, thanks to all that has replied.
