Humbled and Honored

I was humbled to receive an order from my home states Governors office. I was contacted for an order of 8 pens. I did not have much time to get them made and decided I would deliver them in person to ensure they arrived before being needed. I let my contact person know this and they arranged for me to meet and have the Governor recieve them personally.
It was great day for myself and my wife to see the Capitol and meet him.
I did make an extra pen and slipped in to give him as a gift, he seemed surprised to get it, in exchange he gave me one of his challenge coins(what an honor).

The pens are made from spalted dogwood that came from the April 27, 2011 tornado that destroyed Tuscaloosa Alabama.
