anyplace describe how to identify?

perhaps also someplace showing how to "grade" how good blanks are for value/sale?

i figure theres gotta be somethin beyond a 1/2 second look and pulling words out of my @$$ :biggrin:

I have this pic I acquied from somewhere! Dont know how accurate they are, but nice to look at. Doesn't have figure like beeswing, as I dont think you get that in Maple!

i wasn't speaking just about maple figure, but damn you make me think a full book exists on it alone HAHA
 
on a side note, my monitor has a high gloss screen - annoying at times, but look at a full screen pic of pretty wood and its like a mirror finish on the wood hah
