How to apply a CA finish.

I have been finishing my pens with a BLO & CA finish, but after i have read through some past posts i am now not sure that what i am doing is the best way. Can i get some of the methods that others do.
My way is after sanding through with MM i then add a small amount of BLO on a paper towel, and buff this dry. Then again i add small amount of BLO and quickly apply about 3 drops of CA to the blank and keep this moving over the whole blank till i get the smell of CA. I repeat this about 3-5 times. When dry i then add Ren Wax.
Is this way correct or am i missing something out???

And every one of them is slightly different. The key is finding what works for you. That is the correct way to do it.
