Well I talking for myself, 10 days ago I went to a friend place to cut some grevillea and I did a good stock but on top of the pile of trunks and branches he have a stump I cut a large piece of roots and I did those 2 pens yesterday.

Why so stupide I my, well everything now is turn to ashes and I could have the all stump and roots [xx(][xx(]:(

Nice looking pens! Follow the packrat moto: I take everything KNOWING it will be needed someheow in the future! Drives the wife nuts! I am getting ready to cut down an apple tree, hope the roots are useable like some of your have found on other trees.

'grevillea' ? Never heard of it before. But you are in Austrailia. There must be thousands of species of trees. Is the photo a true color rendition? Is the wood really that red? Very pretty and interesting stuff. And, yes, you should be lashed with a wet noodle for letting the rest burn. [:p] If you come across more, please offer to us poor Yanks for sale or trade. Oh, very nice job on the pens too. [^]
