How may pen blanks?

I lost count of how many pen blanks that I could harvest from this Mesquite Burl that I got my hands on today.
What do you think?

Sam that's not a burl, kind of a unusual growth. I am not sure from your pic. if it is Mesquite though. It all depends of which part of Houston you got it from too.

I see your in Houston...humm Now that you cut it up, sure looks bad.
