How many standard 3/4 pen blanks would you say, on average, comes from a gallon of PR resin? Of course, all depending on good batches, you use actually use catalyst instead of CA drops ([B)]), etc....

It depends on the size of YOUR mold. Pour water into your mold. Pour that into a measuring cup. Divide 128 by the amount shown in your measuring cup (there are 128 liquid oz. in a Gallon).

And then subtract a few for "cup cling on" because you will never be able to pour every last bit of PR out of your mixing cups.

Each 7/8x7/8x51/2" mold holds 4 oz. 4 divided into 128=32 blanks less 10% cling-on factor and you should get 29-30 blanks out of each gal. (if your not having any bad blanks ;))

Scott, maths:D not the problem its that my mold is 7/8x7/8x5&1/2"but knowing how many oz. in a mold 7/8 x 5 1/2 you could surmize that you would get approx. 25% more blanks from a 3/4x5 1/2 inch mold really closer to 21-22% so add another 7-8 blanks per gal. Now if you really want to helpe please correct my spelling and grammar because in both of these I know I need help just ask Cav:D;). BTW I took this very light hearted hope you do also.
