How many coats, and what type of wax do you put on each pen? Does this vary depending on the type of wood?

For me it varies according to the pen. how glossy I want the finish to get.
I actually use Hut Crystal Coat because I almost always use a CA Finish.
A couple of coats, or passes usualoly does it. at times I will give it a third attempt just out of sheer hope. I have used Sellawax and used two to three coats then as well. Mostly just keep going until I am satisfied it isn't helping anymore.

Until I started experimenting with Lou's TSW, I would sand and polish to completion then use 1 pass of carnuba wax stick and buff. Always looked so shiny that there didn't seem to be a good reason to do another. The TSW seems to only take 1 coat for lacquer and CA finishes too.
