Shouldn't there be a sticky someplace that describes the beginnings of how the IAP became to be??? When? Why?/ Who were the forefathers and a bit of history. I remember someone posting something recently but I could not find it. Maybe Jeff can fill in the details or maybe an older member.

I could tell you!

I thought there was an article I wrote about it on the site someplace. If not, I would be willing to put one together.

Scott.

I thought so too Scott but I could not find it. I thought it was posted right around the beginning of the Bash. It would be nice to have something maybe on the Home Page. If my memory serves me well also this site started on another server and was transfered.

Hey Scott, don't look now but Ed called you old:eek:

We did use to be on another server and when we moved we had to rejoin and our original joining date was changed. There use to be another pen forum also. It was called the Pen Shop.

Not old - just one of the original two!

No I think he called him old.
I don't know which sounds better OLD, ORIGINAL, or old original

Oh boy that is going to leave a mark.:biggrin::biggrin:

Old, original, whatever! Just don't call me smelly (or late for supper!).:eek::eek:

And if you're as old as I am the only one of those you really care about is being called late for supper.

That's not correct. We did move to a new server and new forum software in 2009, but all user accounts, passwords, join dates, post counts, etc. were preserved. You'll see thousands of users with join dates all the way back to 2004 (well, except for me in 2003 )

You are probably thinking about TPS, which recently changed forum software and servers and did not preserve their database of members or posts.

EDIT: We switched to our new forum software on July 19, 2008.
