How Is Behlen For Pens?

[Spec Grade]

Has anyone used H. Behlen's Woodturner's Finish for finishing pens? If so, how did it turn out?
Just curious is all, since I have a pint of it I bought for finishing bowls & such.

I believe Barry Gross uses and recommends it in his book.
I have used it and it comes out nice just like you would expect from using in on bowls.
I don't think it as durable as a CA finish, but it is easier.
I use CA or Plexi on all my selling pens.

I use it on all of my low end pens. It is fast and gives a good finish and is relatively inexpensive.

I have used it before, but stopped, as it does not last very long. I did not want my pens out there with the finish worn off in a couple of weeks. I use CA all the way, either gloss or dulled with 4000mm

CA , Enduro , Fast dry poly , Plexi , Lacquer and a few others . All will hold up better in the long run . There is no quick and easy finish that don't have a learning curve .
