How do you finish Truestone?

Cover the bed ways with a water proof material. Micro Mesh at about 500 RPM with water using light pressure. First with the lathe running, then turn off the lathe and stroke lengthwise. Now wipe the blanks and MM with a wet paper towel to remove any grit that dislodged from the MM. Polish with Micro Gloss or any other good plastic polish.

Examine the blank closely under a bright light to see if there are any scratches in the blank. I often get such the first time around, and have to repeat the steps again.

Just like any other acrylic. Polish up through all the MM grades and then a plastic polish and wax if you choose.

Personally, I don't mind them being "just a tiny bit" duller than acrylics. After all, they're part stone.

I do pretty much the same as randyris (above). The technique seems to work well and I think the double sanding with each grit (radial and longitudinal) makes all the difference.

Only things I can offer extra are that even though Tru-Stone seems hard, it can be easily oversanded, so be careful when wet sanding (watch out for a thick slurry). Use a light touch and a slow speed. Also, be REAL careful to avoid cross contamination with your various grits (clean water, separate wiping cloths, etc).
