When PSI puts out a new catalog with new awesome pen kits, are they ALWAYS out of stock? Wouldn't it be much better to have the availability to the customers? I don't get it.....

I suspect that they are trying to time it so that they don't have to hold the pens in stock longer than they need to.

Maybe supply and demand. Create the demand then supply. But then I have never had any luck dealing with them to begin with so take that into consideration.

You may have not gotten the first mailing of the catalog and someone else got there first.
They could have had a production or import glitch that they didnt arrive by the printing of the catalog.

Another supplier did almost the same thing. I recieved a new catalog and a few days later I tried to order some new blanks and they were sold out. I thought well if you snooze you lose. The next catalogs didn't advertise the same blanks. Later that year I recieved another catalog and went from the mail box to the recliner to the phone and they were unavailabe.

All sales outlets are doing the same thing: They are trying to keep their inventory as low as possible to maximize profits, so they will advertise a product when they know they don't have adequate stock. Sometimes they don't have enough employees available to put up all the stock as it arrives. Most of them feel they don't have any competition so they don't care! ( like Walmart) I still say you are better off dealing with IAP vendors!
