If you are asking about screw storage then yes I too always used some sort of storage boxes. Depending how many dictated the size of the boxes. I have a ton of sheet rock screws. being in construction I amassed many from my carpenter friends. Over the years I have used quite afew. Recently when I went through the shop reorganizing and hanging lots of shelves and hooks of many kinds I fell in love with these type screws and bought boxes of them. These are called Truss screws and the large head makes them an ideal screw and the course teeth really grab. As far as machine screws I never did amass alot of those. I usually bought those as needed. I continue to do so even today. I do have smaller storage boxes for some that are part of a storage group system. I use many more wood screws than machine screws.

I worked in the semiconductor industry for 40 years. Most of it for an equipment manufacturer. With every new machine (these were very complex 20,000 lb pieces of equipment that cost north of a million dollars in the 80s) they sent boxes of grade 8 socket head screws and bolts as well as nuts and washers. A lot of it was never used and no one wanted it. My coworkers and I ended up with lots of nice hardware. And I have boxes of sheet metal screws, wood screws and etc........ I do have to go to the hardware store for hardware store once in a while, but not often.

My father collected all kinds of fasteners relegated to coffee cans of the olden days. However. many are fine thread which I have never used. Winter will see me at the workbench, sorting screws.

Used to have a few of those flat metal tins that the fancy cookies come in around the holidays. I got tired of digging through them to find what I wanted.

My solution was to build a wall cabinet to hold a bunch of the Harbor Freight parts organizers. I love it.

This level of organization is downright depressing!!!!😂🤣 YES, I'M JEALOUS! Nice job, David!!

I just ordered the SST holder for those parts holders...it was pricey, but hey, you can not take it with you!

My Dad used to take coffee cans and and bolt them together with a home made handle in the middle of them....I know this very well, because they are in my shed...they held nails tho....I can't remember the last time I used a nail...so they are not in my shop...but the lawn tractor shed. Just can't get rid of them....he has been gone for 24 years now.
