Home made anchor seal type stuff

Anchor seal does not exist around here. No product like it and the folks at the lumber store thought I was wasting my time.

The Apricot tree has to go down today. and need something to seal with.

I have used wax and gasoline to preserve archaeologically important wood for dating but the flammability issue is an issue.

What about a wax and mineral oil emulsion?

I use latex paint, just paint the end grain.

I think I read on the creek where someone used parfin wax and mineral spirits. You can also order ancorseal online from the manufacturer ucc coatings

Wax and mineral spirits sounds like a good idea. I will look for latex paint too.
