Dear Friends,

Thank you all for your prayers.

I'm doubly lucky.

A stent had partially collapsed. Cardiologist installed another inside it to support. Then added one more.

Also found I have Ventricular Tachicardia. Heart beats abnormally fast and doesn't pump much blood. Can be fatal. I just got home with a portable device that monitors my heart, and is also an AED. Will be wearing it for 3 months. Then Cardiologist will decide if I am to have an implanted device or things have stabilized.

If you have any rapid heartbeats it could be VT or something else. It's nothing to fool with. Same goes for the chest pain. Mine seemed to be more of a gut pain when it began, but quickly spread to mid chest.

I'm out of the indoor pool for 3 months. Will most likely be into Cardiac Rehab. soon.

PLEASE don't fool with what may not be indigestion or an unknown. I averted a heart attack or death because I saw my doctor. We've all got plenty to live for. I urge you don't ignore pain see a doctor.

God bless you all,

Charlie

Well you should thank Dr Thomas Fogarty He has about 25+ patients on stunts and things related to heart surgery. Thank your doctor to know how to use correctly. he's very down to earth doctor

Hey Charlie, Good to hear from you, listen to the doc
and thanks for your advise......I too, had a close call, not heart
but another issue.....

God's Peace

I have three stents. The doctor got tired of working on me and installed 3/4 inch PVC pipe. Blood flow nowvery good.

Charlie, I take care of you guys daily. Follow your protocol and God willing, you'll be older next time we chat. Vfib is nothing dramatic unless it's yours. I say this because the first surgery I had, my surgeon said "The only minor surgeries are on some one else." Having just gone thru my 13th...I'm happy and my wife says I still look good!Thinners and exercise, diet and fluid maintenance...you should be a ripe old pen turner.

I went to the dr with some chest pain, shortness of breath, & dizziness. He had me see a cardiologist friend of his and the next day I was having him look around inside. He found "nothing good" & had me back in 2 days later for 3 stents. 12 days later I went back in for 3 more. I feel so much better now and he was amazed I hadn't had a heart attack yet. This isn't something to mess with or put off. I almost lost the opportunity to raise my kids. Glad you are doing better.
