Hi.

I am new to IAP, but have been turning for three years. My lathe is a Jet 1642 EVS 1 1/2 HP. Mostly bowls have been my passion, but when I go to shows, it helps to have some small items to sell. Pens and bottle stoppers are becoming my small items, but they are a lot of fun to make.

My shop is also set up for cabinets, but I am loosing interest fast in cabinets. Turning is so much more fun and rewarding.

I have a lot to learn about making pens and this seems to be the site. My friends on Sawmill Creek let me know about this site.

I am from Manistique, MI and am the Plant Engineer at Timber Products in Munising Michigan. It is the hardwood lumber and veneer division. What a great place to work and good people to work with. A woodworker that works in a hardwood mill - its like heaven.

I look forward to seeing your work and learning from you.

welcome from the thumb!!! I have been to many other countries and islands, live in Michigan, but have never been to the UP, can you believe that?! I should be ashamed...my wife and kids have been, but not I. I am friends with Pure Michigan on facebook and see so many awesome places up there, I have to get there. I may be contacting you for a list places to visit.
