Newbie here from England, I live in surrey and have just recently finished converting my garage into a part workshop and looking forward to plenty of turning.
Looking to learn lots so I guess I may be asking some of you talented turners a few questions now and then.

You're right! I guess I should have looked it up in Wikipedia and not rely on the movies. I had just remembered it from the movie "The Holiday".
