I recently retired from telecommunications here in Scotland. Thinking of a hobby / pastime to keep me out of trouble I invested in a lathe and the required tools to try turning. After a few bowls I started pen making, here to learn and improve.

Welcome Bob. I am originally from Yorkshire but spent 7 years in Ayrshire (Alloway) before catching the paraffin budgie across the pond to Vancouver in 1981. We enjoyed our time in Scotland and much preferred it to England. We returned for a visit 3 yrs ago including a stop in Edinburgh and St. Andrews.
