I think this thread goes here or Tools. Anyway, I have this model lathe and really like it. It has 2MT and a lever to help change belts to varible speed. Model #65345 $189.99 with a bonus coupon of 20% on spending a $100.00, then a 20% on the entire purchase. That makes the lathe cost at $$121.61 which I think a good buy on a good inexpensive lathe.
I have no interest in HF financially, just passing on a deal I found that is good until Oct.31. (in my area at least)

Wow. That is a good deal. That was my first lathe. I paid $189 for it plus added the warranty and went through three of them in 12 months. After I received the third I set it up and took pictures and sold it for $165 on Craig's list and bought a Delta. Good lathe to start with but you will want something more at some point. Great to learn with though.

Make sure you keep an extra drive belt around. I had one break and I missed a whole weekend. They sell them at Napa.
