They need to dry a couple of days yet... the directions say to dry for 72 hours...
I soaked them for 10 minutes and I did notice that they are appreciably heavier.. looked at the spalted one today and the soft areas are noticably harder already... will probably not be able to get to turning them for at least a week or more (busier than a one armed paper hanger here).. so I might give them to a buddy to experiment with...
