Hey all from NY (upstate). I have turned about 30 pens so far and learning a lot. I stumbled across the forum while researching inlay options. I want to start incorporating mica powder inlays into my pens and saw Ed Davidson's resources. So far I have turned mostly slimlines, as well as some metal vertex fountain pens. I've been able to sell 5 pens, so I am proud of that this early in the game. It is still taking me some practice, but I am using a CA finish on my pens.
This hobby also have me ability to turn my own tools, so recently I made 2 carbide tools. I used 1/2" bar stock and made one with a red oak handle, and the other with a mahogany handle.
I look forward to learning more and interacting. Work life is crazy so it may be sporadic, but I'll definitely be here when time allows.
Very picture heavy, but below is some of my work so far... Feel free to point out anything you see I will take all as constructive
