Hello, I am still pretty new to turning and wood working in general so I have no knowledge on wood types. I have some pen blanks that I was hoping to see if I could have help identifying?

Any help would GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

I'll guess Walnut for B, Cherry for D & Oak for E.

C kinda looks like some Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras that I have.

No clue on A, F or G

Took another look . Both B & C could be black walnut . E is the colour of a red oak , but the very long rays are more common in white oaks . Well sanded end grain shots of A-E might help I.D. A different side shot of D might also help .

Ok, my .02 then would be

A ?
B and C Black Walnut
D Cherry
E Oak
F and G Maple and/or Cypress. G especially looks like some antique cypress I have here.

Again, I appreciate the guesses, as I now have people asking to buy the pens I am turning, and I'd like to at least have a guess at what wood the pen is turned from.
