Good morning everyone -

This is my first post on the forum, and I'm certain that some of you out there will be able to help.

I am planning to attempt a Plexiglass finish this weekend - it will be my first attempt. I'm the type to do ALOT of research before trying something new for myself, and have gathered every reference to the Plexiglass finish that's on the forum. Although I have good information on WHAT to do, there isn't so much on WHAT NOT to do. My plexi is already prepared, and just needs to be put to the blanks.

I have turned a wenge blank and a honduran rosewood blank to try this on. The blanks will be dressed with Traditional Rollerball kits. Each will receive a sealer coat of CA prior to the plexi. Can any of you give me an indication from your own experience with this finish on what could cause it to fail ?

Thanks in advance [8D]-

John

John, just to make sure you are comfortable with the process, you may want to practice on a piece of scrap wood. Whether or not you practice on the scrap, it is easy to sand the finish off and try again.

Good luck!

Morris I cannot say for sure but I dont think that it will. There would be nothing really for the plexi to adhere to.
