I am in the market for a set of drill bits in 1/64th increments. I have several small drill bit sets but would like a GOOD QUALITY set. I figured you folks could point me in the right direction for the right brand and a place to purchase them. I will be drilling metal and wood. Any suggestions are greatfully appreciated.

If you want good bits then you want the industrial suppliers like ENCO, KBC, DGI Supply, or the suppliers you have in your area. Here is an example of a set of Cobalt bits from ENCO. Hang on to your anvil!

Enco - Guaranteed Lowest Prices on Machinery, Tools and Shop Supplies

Prices are dependant on the material the bits are made of, sizes, and where they are manufactured. The industrial suppliers will have them in all price ranges.

MSC Direct owns Enco and a couple of other suppliers, just an FYI.

I did know that but couldn't remember them when I was looking. Most of my stuff comes from DGI because the company I work for buys from them and it is easiest to walk over to them when they are in restocking and ask them to bring in what I want, paying when it comes. KBC has a warehouse close to work too if I need.

Both of us are saying the same thing though, and that is to buy these sorts of tools from industrial suppliers.

Yea they (MSC) bought out most of their competition I can remember when they were the small company just starting out, they jumped on the mail order band wagon early, and now internet, and were able to out grow everyone else. I have a bunch of Family that works for them, so I try to get the employee discount when I can. (as long as the price is right)
